Twisted Fork Key Lime Pie

Crust
- 1 1/2 cup graham cracker crumbs
- 3/4 cup sugar
- 1/3 cup melted butter
Filling
- 6 egg yolks
- 1 cup of lemon and lime juice
- 2 cans sweetened and condensed milk
Instructions
- 1. Make crust by mixing three ingredients together then press into a pie pan.
- 2. Separate eggs setting the egg whites aside for later for the meringue.
- 3. Put condensed milk and egg yolks into bowl and mix. Then slowly add the juice while mixing.
- 4. Fill pie crust with the filling and bake in a 350 degree oven for 25 minutes.
- 5. Let cool and then refrigerate.
Meringue
- 6 egg whites
- 3/4 cup sugar
- - Beat egg whites to soft peaks on high speed.
- - Gradually add sugar when peaks are soft.
- - Beat to stiff peaks and has a glossy appearance.
- - Spoon onto cooled pie and form meringue. When happy with the appearance toast with flame thrower.
