Pickled Asparagrus

Ingredients
  1. 8 cup water
  2. 2-1/2 cup white vinegar ( extra strength for pickling)
  3. 1/2 cup white sugar
  4. 3 Tbsp pickling salt
  5. 1/4 tsp alum.
Instructions
  1. 1. Bring the above ingredients to a boil.
  2. 2. Meanwhile, place garlic, cloves and dill in jars. (1-2 cloves, garlic and about 1 Tbsp of dill seed in each jar)
  3. 3. Fill with asparagus and pour boiling brine over contents and seal.
  4. 4. Hot pack for 15 minutes.
Notes
  1. 3 batches of brine makes 12 large mouth jars
  2. each jar holds approximately 1 pound of asparagus.
