Apple Dumplings

Pastry
  1. 2 cup flour
  2. 2/3 cup Crisco
  3. 1/2 tsp salt
  4. 2 tsp baking powder
Apple
  1. 1/2 apple peeled and cored
  2. 1 tsp brown sugar
  3. nutmeg and cinnamon
  4. dab of butter
Instructions
  1. 1. Place in baking dish so they are touching one another. Cover with the following and bake for 30 - 40 minutes.
Cover
  1. 1 cup brown sugar
  2. 3/4 cup water
  3. * dissolve in sauce pan over low heat
  4. Topping: Top with rum sauce and/ or vanilla ice cream.
